O moći (dobre) priče: Zašto je serija Igra prestola morala (tako) da se završi i šta nam Žižek može reći o tome?

Apstrakt

U toku i nakon emitovanja poslednje sezone serije „Igra prestola“ došlo je do velikog kritičkog odziva publike širom sveta. Ovaj rad se bavi onim vrstama kritičkih reakcija koje se odnose na tumačenje socio-političkih poruka u seriji. U tom smislu, poseban akcenat u radu je stavljen na analizu jednog kraćeg teksta Slavoja Žižeka, objavljenog u onlajn izdanju časopisa The Independent, pod naslovom „Strah od revolucije i žena“, u kome on iznosi sopstvenu kritiku serije. Budući da je reč o jednom od najpopularnijih intelektualaca današnjice, Žižekova stanovišta i način na koji ih on iznosi smatram relevantnim za analizu. Kontekstualizacijom Žižekovog teksta u opšti kritički diskurs koji se razvio oko načina na koji su pisci Beniof i Vajs odlučili da privedu kraju seriju „Igra prestola“, ovde će biti bačeno svetlo na nekoliko tema koje su u direktnoj ili indirektnoj vezi sa tekstom. Biće razmotreni sledeći aspekti: uticaj Žižeka na svoju publiku i na kojim osnovama taj uticaj počiva, tj. pitanje odgovornosti bavljenjem javnim intelektualnim radom; dodatno promišljanje određenih aspekata radnje i likova iz serije o kojima piše i Žižek; najzad, biće uzeta u obzir „Igra prestola“ kao autorsko delo i kao globalni kulturni fenomen, te njegov značaj za publiku. Jedan od osnovnih ciljeva ovako „zrakasto“ komponovanog teksta jeste da se ukaže na opasnost nekritičkog čitanja „instant“ tekstova, naročito ako ih potpisuju intelektualci svetskog renomea. Ali možda i više od toga da se ukaže na mogućnost drugačijih tumačenja i doživljaja ove serije, na njenu otvorenost kao dela i, implicitno, na potrebu da se u antropologiji ovako sveobuhvatnom kulturnom fenomenu pristupi holistički.
