Sirotinja između „kulture bede“ i Čuda u Milanu

Problem razumevanja, empatije i odnosa prema pitanju sirotinje, kao socijalno i ekonomski marginalizovanom sloju skoro svakog savremenog društva, predstavlja jedan od najizazovnijih političkih, socio-ekonomskih, humanističkih, pa i naučnih problema. U radu su upoređena dva načina razumevanja i predstavljanja urbane sirotinje – antropološki i kinematografski. Za primer antropološkog proučavanja i razumevanja najsiromašnijih društvenih slojeva uzeti su teorijski i praktični dometi Oskara Luisa i njegove koncepcije „kultura bede“. S druge strane je ponuđena analiza predstavljanja sirotinje kroz filmsko ostvarenje Vitorija De Sike, Čudo u Milanu (1951). Cilj ovakvog poređenja je suočavanje dva pogleda – jednog sa pretenzijom dolaženja do naučne istine o sirotinji, i drugog – sa pretenzijom subjektivnog umetničkog kreiranja „drugačije vizije stare i romantične priče o bogatom čoveku i siromahu“ i razmatranje njihovih spoznajnih i interpretativnih efekata i eventualnih potencijala za „bolje“ antropološko sagledavanje i širu teoriju i praksu datog problema.
