Upotreba empatije u antropologiji emocija

Upotreba empatije u antropološkim istraživanjima emocija vezuje se za univerzalistički pristup ovom fenomenu. Pristup se temelji na biološkoj pretpostavci da su emocije primarno telesna osećanja, unutrašnja te i lična stanja pojedinaca koja je moguće identifikovati pomoću takođe fiziološki utemeljene ljudske sposobnosti razumevanja – empatije. Pojedini predstavnici kulturnog pristupa emocijama su tako shvaćenu i primenjenu empatiju potpuno odbacili. Međutim, između ova dva ekstrema uočava se nijansiranost u antropološkim shvatanjima oba koncepta. Namera ovog rada je da predstavi pojedine rezultate istraživanja vezanih za koncept empatije, u onoj oblasti antropologije koja se zanima za emocinalne živote ljudi, kao i da pruži uvid u neka od ključnih shvatanja tog fenomena i ukaže na njihovu zavisnost od konkretnih pristupa konceptu emocije, kao i da ponudi delimičan uvid u uočenu nijansiranost u shvatanjima koja se tiču upotrebe empatije, a koja ukazuje na izuzetno živu ali i nestalnu antropološku misao o tom konceptu.
