Чланак се бави односом партија крајње европске левице изван Источног блока, Савеза комуниста Југославије и еврокомунистичких партија према раним покретима Нове деснице и првим неолибералним реформама крајем седамдесетих и почетком осамдесетих година XX века. Овај текст има за циљ да кроз студију случаја дебата о неолиберализму на крајњој европској левици допринесе проширивању дискусије о томе како савременици доживљавају видљиве последице историјских процеса дугог трајања, односно друштвене и политичке промене којима присуствују. Рад је заснован на резултатима истраживања историјских извора у југословенским архивима, као и на релеватној научној литератури, која обухвата различите области интересовања више друштвених дисциплина.
