Antropološko nasleđe Džejmsa Džordža Frejzera u delu Roberta Grejvza

Cilj ovog rada je da pruži širi osvrt na uticaj dela ser Džejmsa Džordža Frejzera, utemeljivača ritualizma u antropologiji, na jednog od najistaknutijih engleskih romanopisaca. Robert Grejvz se još kao student oduševljavao spisima čuvenog antropologa ali je trebalo da prođe čitava decenija da umetnički sazri i Frejzerove miteme zaodene u odgovarajuće prozno i poetsko ruho. U radu su prvo istaknute sličnosti između analitičkih postupaka dva stvaraoca, a pažnja se potom fokusira na one antropološke segmente, mitske likove i drevne rituale koje su obojici zaokupljale pažnju. Recepcija Frejzerovog uticaja od strane Grejvza kreće se od lako uočljivih odjeka pa do kreativnih obrada veoma složenih Frejzerovih ritualema, kao što su tabuisana imena bogova ili svete žrtve koje su Grejvzu poslužile kao fundament na kojem je bazirana radnja nekoliko njegovih istorijskih romana. Gradeći složene zaplete, Grejvz je nastojao da ukaže na moguća rešenja religijsko-mitoloških misterija koje i danas zaokupljaju pažnju antropologa i kompetentnih čitalaca.
