Ex oriente nigri: „Kapetan crnaca“ i fabrikacija minojske kulture

Apstrakt

Fabrikacija minojske kulture je specifično moderan fenomen u najužoj vezi sa imperijalnim i kolonijalnim osvajanjem i prisvajanjem antičke Grčke. Grčki rat za nezavisnost stvorio je arenu u kojoj je Evropa mogla da se uključi u borbu za svoju kolevku. U ovom radu će u postkolonijalnom ključu freska „Kapetan crnaca“ biti smeštena u kontekst fabrikacije minojske kulture i kolonijalnih narativa koji su u nju upisani. Ova kolonijalna prošlost pojma koji je danas poznat kao minojska kultura igrala je veliku ulogu u definisanju evropske prošlosti, sadašnjosti i budućnosti početkom XX veka. Minojska kultura kao kolonijalna diskurzivna formacija u arheologiji, nastavila je da živi i u okviru kulturnoistorijske arheologije ali i nakon nje. U ovom radu zastupljena je ideja da je rekonstrukcija freske „Kapetan crnaca“ u radu Artura Evansa posledica upravo kolonijalnog rasizma koji akcenat stavlja na boju kože kao na rasnu/etničku kategoriju. Tumačenje da su figure crnog inkarnata na fresci afričkog porekla do sada je retko kritički preispitivano i sukcesivno je preuzimano kao datost.
