Solipsisme socio-ontologique dans l’œuvre de Philippe K. Dick

Résumé

L’œuvre d’un des écrivains les plus influents de science-fiction du siècle passé, Philippe K. Dick a pour caractère essentiel la manifestation des différences dans l’expérience de la réalité chez un même ou chez plusieurs acteurs – ce qui chez le lecteur fait naître l’impression qu’il est possible de parler de plusieurs plans différents de l’existence au sein d’un cadre référentiel unique narrativement fixé. À la différence des autres auteurs qui se sont intéressés à ce problème, nous ne les interprétons pas comme des réalités parallèles ou alternatives ontologiquement égales, mais comme des données existentielles ontologiquement différentes qui, dans le dénouement narratif de la plupart des œuvres de Dick, fusionnent sur le même plan social. Sans entrer dans les aspects littéraires et artistiques de l’œuvre, une telle analyse dévoile leur message culturel jusqu’à aujourd’hui non reconnu – le solipsisme socio-ontologique, pertinent pour la compréhension des utopies sociales non uniquement bimillénaires mais également contemporaines.
