Brève introduction à l’histoire de l’anthropologie de la photographie

Cette étude offre un panorama des anthropologues les plus importants, appartenant avant tout aux traditions anglo-américaine et française et qui ont contribué à la création de l’anthropologie de la photographie et lui ont frayé la voie,
comme Boas, Malinowski, Evans-Pritchard, Mead et Bateson, Lévi-Strauss et
John Collier. Ensuite, dans l’étude sont exposées des réflexions contemporaines
sur le thème de la photographie dans les recherches (Pink, Edwards, Rubi et Pini) et sont offerts quelques exemples de récents projets de recherche innovateurs comme le sont: les analyses de la photographie d’archives et historique, les
hypermédias électroniques, les projets collaboratifs unissant les interrogés et les
photographes, le photo-essai et „la pêche aux photos”. L’objectif du travail est
de montrer que la photographie ne doit pas être uniquement un outil technique
lors du travail de terrain, mais offrir également un potentiel scientifique et créatif pour l’anthropologie contemporaine.
