Televizija, rituali i nadmetanja oko toga šta je "vredno pamćenja" u Srbiji tokom devedesetih godina XX veka

Apstrakt

Cilj rada je da osvetli ulogu televizije (s naglaskom na državno upravljanu i kontrolisanu televiziju) i ritualnih akcija, u procesu kreiranja i distribucije političkih poruka, koje se odnose na važne društvene i političke događaje tokom devedesetih godina XX veka u Beogradu. Osnovni argument koji se u radu iznosi jeste da su gradski ulični politički protesti koje su, protiv vladajućeg režima, organizovali i sprovodili predstavnici političke opozicije i pripadnici socijalnih i studentskih pokreta, logični ishod režimske medijske politike, i da su bili blisko povezani s njom. Cilj te medijske politike bio je da se priguše i učine nevidljivim svi suprotstavljeni glasovi na javnoj sceni, ali i da se izbegava javni govor o svemu što bi moglo da naruši sliku vladajućeg režima kao tolerantnog, miroljubivog i patriotskog, na primer izveštaji o ratnim zločinima i razaranjima Vukovara, Dubrovnika i Sarajeva. Politički protesti i ritualne akcije kreirale su prostor gde se o ovim pitanjima moglo javno govoriti, i na taj način su proizvodili alternativne javne sfere. Umesto da se o medijima i ritualima razmišlja kao o razdvojenim načinima komunikacije, u radu će biti pokazano kako su, u posebnom društvenom i političkom kontekstu Srbije tokom devedesetih godina XX veka, televizija i rituali postali deo procesa uzajamnog konstituisanja i artikulacije.
