Rôle de la prophétie politique du „Nostradamus“ boer dans la formation de l’idéologie de la droite conservatrice en Afrique du Sud

Dans cet article est analysée l’influence du prophète Siener Van Rensburg et des interprètes ultérieurs de ses visions sur la création de l’identité nationale boer et afrikaner dans la République d’Afrique du Sud, du début du vingtième siècle à nos jours. L’œuvre du prophète et de ses adeptes est considérée à la lumière des événements historiques importants et des circonstances politiques contemporaines. À travers l’interprétation de l’utilisation politique de cette prophétie, est démontré le mécanisme de la création et du fonctionnement des prédictions politiques, applicable sur l’œuvre de nombreux autres prophètes dans le monde. Un aperçu critique des œuvres les plus importantes des auteurs qui s’étaient penchés sur la question a été fait, puis les fondements théoriques ont été posés pour les recherches futures. Le rôle primordial des prophéties ne s’identifie pas dans cet article à la prédiction des événements futurs, mais à une réinterprétation du passé et du présent idéologiquement marquée par le déterminisme et à une confrontation avec les changements sociaux dans des temps de crise, ainsi que dans leur négation. Les prétendues prophéties deviennent ainsi un lieu acceptable pour manifester des positions socialement inacceptables et des désirs, des buts et des ambitions politiques non réalisés.
