Recentni istorijat unutrašnjeg kovčega tebanskog sveštenika Irirua iz 25. dinastije

Kulturno-antropološki aspekti savremene istoriografije muzejskih artefakata neretko umeju, na različite načine, da doprinesu dodatnoj percepciji drevnih predmeta, ali i detaljnijoj spoznaji savremenijih sociopolitičkih mena. Neuobičajen recentni istorijat staroegipatskog oslikanog drvenog kovčega, pokojnika Iriru (prethodno poznatog kao Aroeri-ao) iz Tebe, datovanog u poznu 25. dinastiju, odnosno u rani sedmi vek p. n. e., indikativan je primer. Celinu, u kojoj je bio i antropomorfni kovčeg o kome je reč, kupio je Ernest Bramer, poreklom iz Sombora, na aukciji u Londonu u junu 1921. godine, s namerom da ga pokloni Narodnom muzeju Srbije. Donacija je krajem iste godine dospela u Beograd, a u Muzej je ušla tek u septembru 1923. godine. Kovčeg biva izložen, uz ostali muzejski staroegipatski materijal, ali mu se 1948–1949. gubi trag. Arhivskim istraživanjem u Beogradu i Njujorku, kao i drugim metodološkim postupcima, utvrđeno je da je kovčeg, nakon šezdesetak godina provedenih u privatnoj kolekciji Kavurić u Hrvatskoj, 2008. godine otkupio Arheološki muzej u Zagrebu.
